Or maybe just sage!
To my absolute delight, I received wonderful news this morning. The flat has now been painted and the vision of sage walls has finally come to life. I was so thrilled to see the end result, that I was a little overcome with emotion. It was worth the wait.
Here you can see the walls in the hallway. These photos show the beautiful contrast with the freshly painted white architraves, cornices and ceiling. The doors will also be painted white, so that is now very easy to visualise.
In the main bedroom (which will be mine), you can see how the sage green walls look contrasted against the lovely windows and view. What a gorgeous, peaceful place this will be to sleep. I think that lovely antique dresser that I bought so long ago in Rothesay will fit in there perfectly!
And the second bedroom (which Ruby and Hamilton will soon sleep in) has been given a completely new lease of life. That new window looks right at home too!
Finally, take a look at the lounge and dining room, with the wee fireplace. I love how proud Dave and Ritchie look - they are obviously very pleased with their work! And rightly so.
Next up, will be the oak flooring, skirting and lighting. I remember the lighting choices we made on my last trip, and I can't wait to see how they look once installed - I think we chose very wisely.
Oh and of course, the grand reveal of the beautiful new kitchen is yet to come - I am holding that back for now. A bit of suspense never hurt anyone!
As Trish said in her messages this morning, the flat looks so incredibly different now. It has been quite a journey to get to this stage, so it is wonderful to see it starting to come together so beautifully. This flat is well on its way to becoming the gorgeous abode it was always meant to be. I can't believe it is mine!
