A gallery of my fave photos from Bute
On my second visit to the Isle of Bute (the first was back in 1991 at the tender of 21), I fell in love with the place. It may have been the gorgeous weather and stunning sunsets. It may have been the awe inspiring history of the castle? Or maybe the delightful Isle of Bute Gin Distillery and their hidden gem of a gin garden!
I found my Gran's old house on Mount Pleasant Road and pondered her life and that of her family. I was drawn to Serpentine Road and sat for some time looking at the view, very close to where I ended up purchasing my flat.
Renovating my flat has been quite the journey - but I am very grateful to have my own little slice of Scotland, located so close to where my ancestors came from.
